Overview: Lead Mobile Applications Developer - ReactNative

Position can be done remote (Work From Home) with some office visits.

Be part of Mercy's Digital Software Engineering Department focused on digital differentiation and innovation in healthcare technology. This team is building modern & integrated technology solutions for Mercy patients, clinicians and coworkers. These solutions are focused on providing a connected, personalized and seamless experience to all its users. The team members take pride in the culture of continuous learning, improvement and delivery.

This position will be part of the Mobile Engineering Team to build Mercy's mobile brand presence including the patient portal and clinical portals. This position will be critical to building a proactive, predictable and personalized experience for our consumers.

Designs/builds mobile solutions based upon professional software engineering best practices for the full SDLC including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.

Facilitate and lead mobile app code signing and deployment process to enterprise and public app stores.

Displays a strong attention to detail, a passion for quality, and the ability to translate UI/UX design into solid, high-performing code.

Demonstrates extensive knowledge of mobile APIs, SDKs, and UI standards.

Successfully mentors less senior team members on mobile design/implementation best practices.

Plans and executes complete life cycle for mobile application components based on functional requirements; considers device/OS capabilities and limitations, operating time and form of desired results

Designs highly complex application interfaces and integration across diverse systems

Integrates at an enterprise level using third-party middleware or messaging products, or by designing and implementing custom interfaces and mapping for those interfaces

Demonstrates proficiency in mobile application design, native SDK/API integration, and device interfaces across multiple operating systems

Responsible for complex and multi-faceted peer review; monitoring and ensuring the software architecture is correct and performing

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Eight (8) + years experience designing/building/deploying mobile apps along the full software development life cycle Extensive experience applying code management principles
  • Required Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
  • Other:
  • Experience in React Native, JavaScript, Typescript

    Experience in iOS SDK, Xcode

    Experience in Android (SDK), JAVA/J2EE

    Experience integrating apps with RESTful , JSON / XML / SOAP Web Services

    Knowledge of security and identity management solutions such as SAML, OAuth, certificates and encryption

    Proven ability to work effectively in a dynamic fast-paced environment

    Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
