IT Business Analyst, Mid

The Opportunity:

You know that true progress is made at the intersection of business and tech, and as an IT business analyst, you're highly skilled in both. Here, you'll have the chance to work with an agile team as they develop digital products to support your clients' most pressing missions. We're looking for someone like you to propel business analytics and processes forward, as well as delve into technology trends to deliver user-friendly client experiences.

As an IT Business Analyst, you'll support U.S. Navy functional data management, data governance, and business intelligence and analytics. Partnering with your team of Business Analytics Consultants, Data Analysts, Database Administrators, System Administrators, and leading Data Scientists and Data Architects, you'll identify clients' business needs, gather user requirements, and develop user stories. You'll understand the overall direction and nuanced user needs clearly, and you'll lead your team as they fulfill these needs by creating deployable features. Together, you'll deliver high business value products to the clients.

You Have:

  • 6+ years of experience in data standardization, data analysis, statistical analysis, problem solving, content management, or software and network programming

  • Experience in data management, data governance, data quality, test data management, data architecture, data security, programing, including with SQL, Java, Python, or R, and data analysis software such as Excel, SAS, or SPSS

  • Knowledge of database query language, such as SQL, and Report Creation and Data Visualization, including with Tableau and R Studio

  • Knowledge of statistical methods and techniques to analyze data, DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), and managing enterprise level cross-functional teams

  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Engineering, or Physical Science

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience working and collaborating with technical staff and engineers

  • Knowledge of U.S Navy Personnel Systems and MyNavy HR Transformation Initiatives

  • Ability to pay strict attention to detail and display a proactive and positive attitude

  • Possession of excellent client-facing or consulting skills

  • Possession of excellent documentation and organizational skills

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
