Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $62,300 - Midpoint: $81,000 (Salaried E10)

Department/Organization: 208181 - Psychiatry

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm; some evenings/weekends.

Job Summary: The Behavioral Health Services Manager administers and provides clinical supervision for behavioral and social health programs. Oversees all daily program functions and activities. Manages treatment program development and implementation, treatment planning, and related documentation. Provides guidance, trains, and/or may supervise clinical and non-clinical staff.

Additional Department Summary: Manages implementation and administration of behavioral health programs and associated clinical research/projects for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at the College of Community Health Sciences (CCHS). Oversees development and evaluation of programs and performance improvement plans. Assures mental health services are delivered in an efficient, effective, appropriate manner. Serves as the primary point of contact for behavioral and social service agreements with campus and external partners.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in social work, counseling, or mental health field and four (4) years of experience in behavioral health consultation services, group therapy, teaching, outreach, student work, and/or case management. Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or other behavioral health-related independent licensure in the State of Alabama in good standing.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Experience using an electronic health record system in a previous learning or employed role.

Must have valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 19 years of age at time of hire and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report that is in compliance with University policies. Applicants under the age of 21 will have some driving restrictions.

Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.

Skills and Knowledge: Strong organizational and program administration skills with knowledge in the areas of behavioral health and social services. Demonstrated skills in clinical-decision-making. Ability to exercise discretion, diplomacy, and tact in patient/staff interactions; willingness to learn and consistently deliver patient-centered high-quality customer-friendly service. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information and follow HIPAA and/or FERPA regulations at all times. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic setting. Ability to cope with stressful conditions. Ability to demonstrate tact, versatility, and adaptability. Ability to demonstrate a high degree of self-motivation and directional initiative. Efficient and accurate computer and data entry skills. Working knowledge of standard office software applications, including Microsoft Office and basic data platforms. Ability to build online presentations, create and manage spreadsheets, databases, and other tools to tracking progress toward program goals. Skills in exercising initiative, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making. Skills in organizing work to achieve department goals and objectives. Ability to work a flexible schedule.
