AWS Cloud Engineer

The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a DevOps engineer, you're eager to build, manage, and secure a container platform that meets your client's needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. We need you to develop container management software to solve some of our clients' toughest challenges.

As a lead platform DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your technical skills to affect mission-forward change. You'll guide your team as they use the latest cloud technologies to improve your client's environment with current container software to ensure seamless orchestration. Using your DevOps platform expertise, you'll lead your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process.

You'll recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers. Additionally, you'll continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms. Work with us to use cloud platform technology for good.

You Have:

• 8+ years of experience with designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS

• Experience with AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and VPC

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools, including Terraform or CloudFormation

• Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes

• Experience with implementing reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements

• Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with supporting the migration, implementation, and deployment of systems and applications in AWS

• Experience with the monitoring, maintenance, and security of critical infrastructure components

• Experience with triaging and resolving issues for both open-source and commercial tools in public cloud environments

• Knowledge of networking, security groups, and policy management for Cloud resources across multiple operating systems, including Linux or Windows

• AWS Solution Architect Professional Certification
