The opportunity

As a Clinical Faculty member in the Public Health Program, your role is to support specified online programs within Global Campus through teaching, student support, subject-matter-expertise, mentoring of adjunct faculty and engagement in administrative activities in service of the institution. You'll teach standardized, pre-developed online courses, in a 10-week (graduate) term structure.

In addition to teaching, you'll serve in varied academic administrative capacities to help ensure that Global Campus programs, courses, and instruction are high quality and meet the institutional promise to students. This includes accreditation support, course reviews and improvements, practicum support, data collection and analysis, etc.

You will report to the Program Director, Public Health.

What you'll do:

  • Teach 30 credit hours (two courses per term) annually
  • Follow all instructional principles and strategies that engage students in learning, when serving as a course instructor while following the pre-determined course design and textbook materials
  • Provide meaningful feedback to students, academic advisors and team lead following faculty expectations and requirements.
  • Provide engagement and outreach to students who have not logged into the learning platform, engaging students who are not moving through their diagnostic-identified learning path promptly and strengthening course concepts through professional experience, in field development or conducting synchronous webinars
  • Follow the Instructional Practices Rubric and faculty performance standards
  • Help review practice experience plans, creation of service-learning practicum materials, identification of new practicum sites and topics for service learning
  • Be a professional advisor to students to support students' sense of connection to the program, provide career advice, or provide capstone support
  • Participate in program specific events including graduation activities, academic residencies, and professional development activities
  • Collaborate with enrollment and student advisors to support program growth and student persistence
  • Provide exceptional student service in every interaction, which includes never giving up on a student who is putting forth the effort to achieve their goals
  • Be a coach to adjunct faculty and subject matter experts
  • Collaborate with Associate Deans and Team Leads to help resolve adjunct faculty issues
  • Participate in any scholarly and professional activities required to contribute to one's academic discipline, maintain licensure and compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies that have jurisdiction over the faculty's respective program

What we're looking for:

  • Doctoral Degree in Public Health or a related field, from a CEPH accredited school or program OR Doctoral Degree related to public health with an MS or MPH from a CEPH accredited school or program.
  • 3+ years public health field experience
  • 3+ years teaching experience
  • Online teaching experience
  • Experience with Council on Education in Public Health (CEPH) accreditation
  • Experience designing and reviewing internships/practice experiences

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $68,669.00 - $109,891.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $75,879.00 - $102,659.00.
