Become a part of our diverse culture of learning, development, and mentorship as a Manufacturing Engineer Intern in Summer 2025. This position will be located in Waco, Texas. We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer Intern. You will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day functions of our business. The intern contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of operations by identifying areas for improvement, implementing solutions, and actively participating in various projects. The role provides valuable learning opportunities and exposure to different aspects of the business. Your education is just the beginning - you'll become an active member of our Operations team, reporting to our Factory Manager. During our 12-week internship program, you'll tackle real-world challenges through impactful assignments, and work alongside our industry changemakers. Intern Impact Project: Operational Excellence The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will be paired with area manager to (1) reengineer the shop floor operation key performance indicators (KPI's) and (2) analyze the flow of data up and down the forming business. This assignment will require hands-on management to identify, plan, track, and complete projects. The intern will document the process and prepare a presentation for management at the end of the 12-week program. A Day in the Life at Howmet... Compensation for this internship opportunity ranges between $20-$23 per hour. (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skillset, and/or location).
