1. Inspects and assures machinery in operation is functioning properly with acceptable pressures and temperatures; engages in basic troubleshooting activities and performs minor repairs.
2. Performs machinery and mechanical component maintenance that includes but is not limited to: belt adjustments or renewals, traps and strainer cleaning, machinery oiling and greasing, filter media changes, equipment and equipment room cleaning, heavy lifting of equipment.
3. Maintains HVAC systems by reclaiming, recycling, replacing, and/or pulling vacuums.
4. Helps designated management ensure preventative maintenance schedules are met by performing timely maintenance activities and completing related data cards.
5. Labels and tracks equipment inventory and records inventory data.
6. Oversees designated staff activities occasionally according to department operational needs.
7. Monitors boiler operations as necessary and ensures safe operations; reports any operating issues or service needs to appropriate parties.
8. Assists, as required, and/or directed with snow plowing, snow and ice removal.
9. Performs other related duties as assigned.
1. Associate's Degree or High School Diploma with the completion of a technical school certification or related HVAC or Electrical apprenticeship program.
2. Two years' of HVAC and machinery maintenance and repair experience.
3. CFC Universal Certification.
4. Low Pressure Boiler Operator's License or attainment of the license within 18 months from date of hire; and on-going renewal of required license during length of employment.
5. Ability to serve as team or project leader when necessary.
6. Valid driver's license in good standing.
7. Ability to pass a College physical exam and lift equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
