Class 4 Forklift Operator 3rd Shift

Kaytee is growing and is currently looking to add a 3rd Shift Forklift Operator to our team. Your primary role would be moving products or materials in Production and/or Warehouse using power tools and vehicles.

The typical work schedule entails regular business hours, averaging at least 40 hours per week. For this role, you'll work four 10-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Monday through Thursday; enjoy a long weekend every week! There may be some variation in work hours due to overtime, special projects, deadlines, and other concerns.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS

• Utilize forklift or handcart to transport materials from the warehouse to the production area
• Accurately record information in SAP using transaction codes.
• Transport finished goods from production to pallet wrapping area; apply shrink wrap and transport to warehouse or designated area
• Unload trailers receiving in and putting away
• Record production complete, materials received or distributed and maintains inventory records
• Monitor packaging materials and completes requisition forms when reordering from other departments
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly fashion
• Understand and know the goals and objectives of the department
• Comply with all safety rules and company policies
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor
• Responsible for reporting any Food Safety issues to authorized personnel for correction.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate forklift and handcart in a safe manner
• Ability to work independently in an efficient and accurate manner
• Must have the ability to lift up to 60 lbs on a regular basis
• Must have the ability to bend, twist, turn and climb
• Possess solid organizational skills
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Work is performed in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
• Work temperatures can vary due to outside temperatures.
• Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours (on each respective shift) and average at least 40 hours a week.
