Our ideal candidate The Business Development Partner is responsible for identifying, developing, and fostering partnerships that drive revenue growth, market expansion, and brand awareness. This role requires a proactive approach to relationship-building, market research, and strategic planning to meet organizational goals. This role will work closely with Retail and Marketing. Overall, the position will make an impact on our community through their role as a Business Development Partner. Essential Functions A typical day might include the following Strategic Planning and Execution Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company objectives. Identify new business opportunities, memberships, and potential partnerships. Relationship Management Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key business partners and stakeholders. Act as the main point of contact for new and existing business initiatives and partnerships. Market Research and Analysis Conduct market analysis to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning. Provide insights and recommendations to improve business performance. Proposal and Negotiation Draft and present business proposals to potential partners. Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements that benefit both the organization and its partners. Collaboration and Coordination Work closely with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives. Provide input on marketing strategies and product offerings based on partner and market feedback. Adept at facilitating events and community outreach efforts, demonstrating a proactive approach to financial literacy. Performance Monitoring Track, analyze, and report the effectiveness of current and new partnerships and business development efforts. Use data-driven insights to optimize strategies and achieve KPIs. Responsibilities As a forward-thinking leader, you will foster partnerships and develop tailored solutions that set us apart in the industry work in an environment that champions performance, accountability, and respect Collaborate across all departments to achieve growth in key metrics, focusing on new memberships and core deposits As an individual contributor, you'll assist the VP Brand and Acquisition with compliance tasks, special projects, and market research while establishing connections with business owners, associations, and non-profits This role also involves designing tailored strategies to boost member penetration in our served markets Focus on developing local community relationships, aligning with our commitment to innovation and respect Analytical skills will aid in monitoring cost efficiency, managing the business development budget, and creating insightful reports regarding departmental activities A collaborative mindset will enhance your ability to work across departments, while a deep understanding of NCUA regulations will ensure compliance in all business development activities Additionally, your ability to identify profitable growth opportunities and address member service issues will be instrumental in achieving our strategic goals in the ever-evolving market Travel Must be willing to travel up to 5-8 hours a week across the state of Arizona. Position grades could fluctuate based on market value. Education H.S. Diploma Required Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field required. Master's Degree Preferred Experience 3-5 years similar or related experience in Business Development and/or Community Relationship Development Proven experience in business development or a related role. Experience in building strategic partnerships. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Self-motivation/confidence/people skills High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
