Position Summary
Responsible for the proper execution of accounting processes and procedures to ensure accurate and compliant data integrity of the company's Balance sheet, Income statement and Statement of Cash flows. Also responsible for various Financial Accounting, Corporate Reporting, Indirect Rate Allocation, and other accounting-related tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Responsibilities



  • Leads month-end processes that support General Ledger accounting, including but not limited to inventory analysis, booking of journal entries, and preparation of reconciliation of ledger accounts.
  • Liaises with the Inventory Controlling to investigate and analyze variances, and the accuracy of stock adjustments from cycle counts and confirm physical inventory counts.
  • Reconciles raw materials, semi-finished, works in progress and finished goods inventories to general ledger.
  • Partners with Supply Chain and Accounts Payable to track and monitor prepaid expenses by supplier, including the monthly preparation of the prepaid reconciliation.
  • Determines accounting treatment for changes to supplier contracts. Completes reconciliation of other balance sheet accounts, including the calculation of the current and non-current split where applicable.
  • Takes ownership of complex and new accounting processes, particularly surrounding the company's inventory accounting and revenue recognition.
  • Participates in monthly Financial Statement Reviews.
  • Assists with financial statement preparation (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Cash Flows) and prepare flux analysis.
  • Prepares monthly financial statement upload for Airbus Group Reporting (3 day close).
  • Works with US Consolidation Tax Team to prepare AUSF tax provision and deferred tax package.
  • Prepares tax filings not addressed by the US Consolidated Tax Team including monthly VAT return (France) and Tangible Personal Property (Florida).
  • Participates in annual Internal Control Self Assessments and address deficiencies as needed.
  • Participates in Corporate initiatives including, but not limited to, alignment of policies, merging of systems and reporting platforms, and development of processes.
  • Assists with ad hoc projects and assist management on all accounting activities.
  • Prepares key schedules used for accounting, audit, tax and external reporting.
  • Participates in the implementation of changes to policies, procedures, and systems to facilitate growth, compliance and scaling of the business.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, CPA Preferred


Experience:



  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience (cost accounting/manufacturing experience preferred)
  • Proficient knowledge of US of GAAP; Working knowledge of IFRS and Manufacturing Accounting concepts

Technical Systems Proficiency:



  • Advanced excel skills required
  • High level of proficiency with MS Office (including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP (preferred)


Travel Required:



  • Ability to travel internationally

Lifting: able to lift documents and/or electronic equipment up to 20lbs/9kg.
Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas.
Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer and in meetings.
Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time.
Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice.
Walking: able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
