Position Summary

Trideum Corporation is seeking a Mid-Level Software Engineer with strong industry Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) design and development experience with DoD experience/Knowledge. This is a full-time position located Trideum headquarters, with potential to work at a government facility on Redstone Arsenal. This position offers some flexibility for a hybrid work schedule, depending on project requirements. The person in this role will use/modify existing AI/ML tools to perform advanced data science, data analytics, and data collection task.

We are seeking candidates who are exceptional, innovative, and passionate software engineers who want to grow with us. You will be on the ground floor of a new effort to design, develop, and test advanced AI/ML tools.

This role requires creativity and flexibility of patterns while abiding by industry standards and policies as well as Department of Defense (DoD) software development policies and regulations. The individual in this role must be able to analyze development team's needs, conceptualize solutions, determine the feasibility of design, and know how to apply new technologies to allow for improvement to existing or development of new critical software applications within our client organization.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Perform quantitative and qualitative data science activities to improve the collection, analysis, validation, and visualization of data in order to improve test and evaluation (T&E) thru machine learning over the program lifecycle.
  • Develop custom machine learning models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
  • Perform data and analytics activities such as requirements development and traceability, system model development, design documentation, technical baseline maintenance, and verification and validation analysis over the program lifecycle.
  • Support the development and implementation of big data analysis tools and database schemas.
  • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
  • Identify stakeholder, customer and user needs to design new systems and/or improve existing systems.
  • Coordinate with program management personnel to prioritize programmatic and technical objectives.
  • Duties may include development of thought-leading white papers, and support to the development of technical artifacts such as software or hardware designs and solutions.
  • Minimal travel required.


Requirements and Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, etc.) with 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Possess a strong AI/ML background
  • Experience monitoring and evaluating performance of deployed AI/ML solutions
  • Experience implementing AI/ML algorithms into software projects using frameworks such as PyTorch Lightning, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn, and integrating these models into production systems
  • Adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate results from deeply technical topics to non-technical audiences
  • Experience collaborating in a team environment, utilizing version control tools (e.g., Git)
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel


Desired Qualifications



  • Master's Degree from an accredited school in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, etc.) with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in a role supporting or collaborating with the Department of Defense (DoD)
  • Experience with model pipelining and reproducibility using tools like MLflow, DVC, or Kubeflow, including automating workflows with GitOps or DevOps practices for scalable and efficient development.
  • Proficiency in model serving and optimization techniques, such as hyperparameter tuning, quantization, and deploying models via tools like MLflow, KServe, or Seldon Core, with a strong emphasis on containerization and reproducibility in production environments.
  • DoD/US Army Knowledge of Force Protection
  • Strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms, and creating/running simulations.
  • Experience in Software Engineering roles
  • Experience supporting Army T&E communities.
  • Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
