Job Summary The Director of Event Operations is responsible for the evaluation of private events at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, MD. This position works closely with internal and external clients and partners to ensure seamless development, communication, and execution of all event related details, while leading and managing a team of Event Specialists. This role requires a strong aptitude for leadership, ability to coordinate detailed coordination, effective management, and the ability to communicate. Detailed Responsibilities * Contribute to a world class guest and hospitality experience at M&T Bank Stadium that exceeds expectations. * Manage the event coordination process and serve as event lead for assigned events at M&T Bank Stadium which primarily includes non-NFL events such as the rental of hospitality spaces throughout the stadium. Focusing on planning, organizing, communicating, and executing event needs & planning with internal and external stakeholders, stadium partners, and preferred event vendors. * Functions as the business leader of the locations' catering sales department managing the locations' reactive catering sales efforts to jointly secure and maximize catering sales revenue. * Lead and manage Event Specialists and other direct reports daily, plan workloads, and overall event schedule. * During assigned events, oversee activities and serve as acting manager on duty. Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate staffing, support services and all logistics for seamless execution. * Manage the development and distribution of necessary event notes, summaries, and fact sheets to all internal and external contacts, as well as third partner contractors and vendors. * Ensure smooth transition and communication with location partner teams to execute positive client experience * Develop and maintain a harmonious working relationship with co-workers, tenants, facility contractors, county emergency personnel, subcontractors and all stakeholders. * Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience * 3-5 years of previous experience in the event industry at stadiums, arenas, public assembly facilities or in the hospitality/tourism industry is required. * Minimum of 2 years of experience managing and developing team members required. * Technical aptitude and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other emerging technologies. * Must be able to work extended hours including nights, weekends, on-call status, and holidays, as necessary. * Must be able to successfully traverse the various levels and areas of M&T Bank Stadium with a strong physical condition and ability to stand, walk, climb, or run for extended periods of time.
