The Impact You Will Have

We are looking for a passionate, hard-working Principal Technologist who can help lead technical solutioning, design, and configuration the BlueCross MN Medicaid Claims Processing Platform. This individual will help us build innovative technology experiences that will support BlueCross's mission to inspire change, transform care and improve health for the people we serve! This position will be a focal point for the Claims Processing Platform working with leadership to bring together architecture, development, configuration, and operational support to ensure cohesive operation and continuous improvement of the platform. This is a high visibility role with room for growth!

A Day in the Life:

  • Act as lead technical configuration consultant for core Claims Processing Platform

  • Lead enhancement analysis , technical design, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, of Claims Processing Platform claims processing platform and integrated technologies.

  • Work closely with technology and business leadership to document high-level requirements for configuration updates and enhancements.

  • Plan, estimate, design, implement system configuration changes that meet business requirements

  • Work collaboratively on a daily scrum team with a scrum master, product owner, analysts, other developers, and testers to iteratively deliver functional code to production.

  • Mentor and provide leadership direction to other members of Claims Processing platform team

  • Plan, edit, and optimize claims batch processing schedule for both small enhancements and major projects

  • Provide technical leadership for projects and products to ensure usability, usefulness, feasibility, and cost effectiveness of the platform.

  • Work with analysts and customers to establish product or project requirements.

  • Contribute innovative solutions while utilizing best practices, design standards, and governance.

  • Research technology trends and contribute to designs and technology platform decisions.

  • Collaborate with technology leaders and architecture to develop product roadmap.

  • Mentor, lead, train other team members. This job will include on-call duties.

  • This job may have direct reports and include HR management responsibilities.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's Degree.

  • Experience with the TriZetto Facets Suite. including, but not limited to, applications such as Facets, Facets HIPAA Gateway, NetworX Pricer, NetworX Modeler, Trizetto Communication System (TCS), and Facets Enrollment Toolkit (FET)

  • Hands-on and design experience configuring a Claims Processing Platform Experience configuring Membership, Billing, Provider Setup & the NetworX applications

  • Significant knowledge of health care payer domain data such as Claims, Membership, Provider, Benefits

  • Familiarity with Claims Processing System integration, operation, and batch processing.

  • Experience with agile, DevOps, IT Service Management, and other development and support processes and methodologies.

  • In depth prototype design and implementation experience. Experience working with vendors.

  • Experience with SQL

  • Worked in an organization of 250 or more users with experience providing user support, training, and data cleanup and/or data migration

Required Skills and Experiences:

  • 7+ years of related professional experience. All relevant experience including work, education, transferable skills, and military experience will be considered.

  • Essential Candidate Qualities:

  • Creative thinking, strong communication skills, creativity, curiosity, self-motivated, time managements skills

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $115,000.00 - $155,300.00 - $195,600.00 Annual

Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position, including skills, ability, and knowledge the selected individual is bringing to the specific job.
