Description Summary Delivery of materials to each production line with the use of the Forklift or manually. Supplies packers with the right carton/bag in accordance with production plan. Partners with Production Leads, Quality Coordinator for validation of materials and timing. Removes and manually tracks unused or surplus cartons or bags at the end of each production run. Packs cushions when time allows. Maintains order and organization of all staged cartons and bags to ensure smooth flow of goods. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Experience Reach Truck Forklift operator responsible for pulling raw materials such as cartons & bags, efficiently and accurately for the production teams and interplant transfer area, maintaining inventory pull records and keeping part locations labeled and counted. 80% Material Handling & 20% Forklift. Experience with forklifts (reach truck) & order picker, their operation, and limitations, including their designs, uses, and general maintenance. Great attention to detail and ability to focus on the task at hand. Verifies that job numbers written on product correspond with supplied paperwork and ensures product gets loaded according to the delivery note provided by the shipping department. Effective communication skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to multitask and prioritize in an effective way. Team oriented thinking. Need to be a team player and willing to help our others when not busy. Willingness to learn and work to the best of his/her abilities. Follow all safety rules and quality standards policies. Operate machinery used in the production process and/or assist machine operators. Uphold all OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above. Loads and unloads material in a safe fashion, verifies that incoming and outgoing material is free from damage Other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Pull fiber from poly line and bring to finishing on a cart. Push fiber forward to the stuffing machines (by hand). Pull shells by the bundles from the gaylords and count the quantity correctly for the stuffers. Write the quantity on the clipboards. Move cartons and plastic bags from the racks to packing line with standup lift. Move SLK bales from receiving to blow fill and put on the blow fill conveyor with bale clamp sit down lift. Move all about the warehouse and finishing dept. material handling. Operate mobile equipment such as reach truck, manual and electric pallet jack. Climb on/off mobile equipment or ladder to access materials. Position to pick up, load, unload, carts with materials. (fiber, bags, cardboard, shells, etc.) Ability to see material labels, see employees and obstacles when moving around for safety. Ability to hear for safety and communicate with other team members. Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. on occasion.
