Description
POSITION SUMMARY: Person in this position will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the GPD program. Essential Job Functions include but not limited to those listed below. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Administrative supervision of all staff assigned to the program.
- Monitor adherence to the policies and procedures of the program.
- Conduct monthly quality assurance reviews of the client files to ensure compliance with program standards.
- Ensure that all educational groups, classes and services are provided as per contract requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring facility compliance with health, fire, safety, and other regulatory standards.
- Mediate client issues that cannot be appropriately resolved at the program level.
- Ensure that the agency systems for collecting statistical data necessary for program evaluation, planning, justification, and staff training are collected as required.
- Fill in for staff during times they may be unavailable due to illness, training, etc.
- Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports as requested.
- Assist and monitor data collection and statistical reporting and complete Quality Improvement reports as requested.
- Maintain relationships with VA/referring and supporting agencies and represent the agency at various community meetings as requested.

- Other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Ability to establish relationships with Veteran, health care teams, and community service providers
- Must possess knowledge of Veteran benefits, housing challenges, employment barriers, and other Veteran issues, including the impact of mental health/substance abuse disorders on Veterans and their families.
- Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion.
- Ability to operate a computer and complete documents in Microsoft Word program formats with strong knowledge of Excel or the ability to learn.
- Ability to respond as needed to crisis situations in an efficient manner.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Adherence to the highest standard of ethical conduct, especially to standards governing confidentiality.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be culturally/linguistically sensitive to populations served.
- Military/Veteran is preferred.
- Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a criminal background clearance
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain WestCare's vehicle insurance is required; and
- CPR Certification, First Aid Certification, and an annual Tuberculosis test.
- During your tenure with WestCare there may be new requirements, including, but not limited to vaccinations that are issued by local, State, Federal, and/or Funders that WestCare may have to comply with. Should this occur Human Resources or appropriate personnel will inform you.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- A minimum of 1 (one) year supervisory experience with knowledge of program performance indicators.
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college with a degree in Addiction Counseling, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
- Not applicable for this position.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is primarily performed in a transitional housing setting; and
- Some outdoor activities may be required.
