Location Address: 6220 Duquesne Drive, Atlanta, Georgia 30336 Work Shift: 12hr-B Shift (7a-7p) (United States of America) Altium Packaging is one of the largest plastic container companies and suppliers of rigid plastic packaging. We specialize in customized mid- and short-run packaging solutions and serve a diverse customer base in the pharmaceutical, dairy, household chemicals, food/nutraceuticals, industrial/specialty chemicals, water, and beverage/juice segments. Pay Rate: $21.00/hr. (base pay) Schedule: 7:00AM - 7:30PM (12-hour rotating schedule) Location: Fulton, GA We are currently seeking an experienced Machine Operator in Fulton, GA. As a Machine Operator, you will operate blow-mold, grinders, trimmer machines and conveyor systems. You will be responsible for troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to ensure continued production line operation. The Machine Operator is also responsible for following our company's Good Manufacturing Practices. RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards and with applicable laws and regulations issued by regulatory agencies. Operate blow-mold machines (including wheels, reciprocating or shuttle machines) to ensure production of quality bottles. * Machines may vary by site. Perform audits, weights and quality checks. Adhere to quality control and to blow mold process procedures. Troubleshoot and perform minor repair on blow-mold and support equipment. Make adjustments to meet product specifications. Introduction to machine troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and resolving process problems. Prepare maintenance request forms and document equipment repairs. Prepare & document daily production reports, including rejects, regrinds, line efficiencies and other. Maintain activity logs REQUIREMENTS: High school diploma, or equivalent Machine operator experience Blow mold or Injection mold experience required Working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer etc.) Machine maintenance Basic mathematical and computer experience Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills are required Physical stamina and strength/able to stand for long periods of time Ability to work overtime TRAINING: Completion of Altium Machine Operator 1 training within 90-days of hire date BENEFITS: Competitive Hourly Rate Medical, Dental & Vision Holiday/Vacation Pay 401K with Company Contribution Tuition Reimbursement Learning & Training Opportunities Bonus Opportunities PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
