HOW YOU'LL HELP DRIVE THE FUTURE OF NATURAL GAS? Provide leadership to department personnel who perform a variety of job functions that support gas operations service work related to meter set installations, turn-on/turn-offs, high bill investigations, increasing pressure, adding load, etc. Department responsibilities include back-office, administrative and procedural aspects to performing the work including work coordination and dispatching of service personnel, work order management, new construction account management, operations planning, and incident support. Oversee successful completion of assigned job activities by planning, organizing and monitoring operational systems, procedures, and processes. In conjunction with the Manager, ensuring that department goals are in alignment with the Company's business plan. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 6 years of experience related to the Duties & Responsibilities of this position; Experience must include a minimum of 2 years of utilizing a Customer Information System and PragmaCAD work management landscape in a regulated utility environment
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience
- Must demonstrate effective leadership and team building skills.
- Demonstrated industry knowledge of gas operations function in: work management including dispatching functions, new construction, and meter reading;
- Knowledge of work flows in applicable systems
- Proficient with MS Office, SAP BO/BW, SAP CRM, and PragmaCad systems.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Creates general work assignments for the group and directs, schedules, and controls specific assignments as necessary, during normal work hours and emergency after-hours. Ensures all personnel are properly trained in each aspect of their job. Provides goals and objectives, and long-range direction regarding achieving them. Manages a budget and ensures proper cost management in area of responsibility.
- Develops new processes and new solutions related to the recording of service work order data, dispatching, and emergency and outage management. This includes the development of new work flows, communications protocols, and system tools for CRM, Work Management System, Meter Reading, and Route Optimization etc.
- Responsible for incident planning to provide for on and off-site dispatching as needed. Responsible for the Dispatching role during Storm and Outage Incidents.Serves as the Dispatching SME for emergency procedures and processes.Responsible for maintaining emergency equipment such as radios, hotspots, cell phones, satellite phones, and laptops. Responsible for the setup, maintenance and regular testing of a back-up dispatching location.
- Analyzes service work management data to determine and track performance metrics. Contributes to performance goal setting for Operations related service work levels. Develops and delivers related communications, reports, and presentations.
- Stays current in areas of expertise, leads in solving problems of the team
- Provides leadership and coordinates within various business units and across the organization such as Customer Experience, Corporate Communications, Operations, Safety, IT&T, etc. for the performance or deployment of service related programs and solutions. Serves as primary subject matter expert (SME) of work flow and administrative processes, solutions, testing, training etc. for gas service operations and supports related projects (i.e. work management, outage management, meter reading, call center, and billing and payments solutions). SMEs are expected to be familiar with all facets of a solution, including alignment to strategic priorities and objectives, the enabling computer systems and or vendors, resourcing trends and forecast, operational metrics, financial costs and benefits, and revenue if applicable, etc.
WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE?
- College degree in associated discipline from an accredited institution is preferred and may be considered in lieu of 3-6 years of the related experience requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
- Proficient user of SAP Web-IC to schedule service orders and perform Move-Ins. Proficient user of PragmaCAD to assign work and manage technician resources and availability.
