Safety Engineer Intern

JOB SUMMARY:

The Safety engineering intern will report to EHS management and support and promote safe practices throughout the factory. This role will learn about semiconductor manufacturing, safety best practices, technical writing, and working within a highly technical team environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Process hazard analysis for new manufacturing equipment

* Safety audits of new and existing equipment

* Industrial hygiene sampling

* Other duties, as assigned

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

* College course work in safety engineering, industrial hygiene, occupational health or equivalent

* Strong attention to detail

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* MS Office capabilities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

* Requires walking and standing on cleanroom floors for prolonged periods.

* Walking, sitting, and standing in an office environment

* Working in a cleanroom environment and wearing clean room attire (bunny suit, mask, gloves, protective eye wear and booties)

* Potential to work in proximity to hazardous chemicals with provided PPE and safety training

* Lift/carry 10 pounds at a time
