Description The Network/Telecommunications Engineer will be supporting the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Enterprise Network System (FENS), an infrastructure contract to design, build, operate, and maintain the FAA's next-generation communications platform. The candidate should have knowledge of hardware electronic components, hardware design, development, and system implementation requirements and will also require practical networking and/or telecommunications experience. Able to define interaction and interface among different categories of requirements. Performs formal system testing activities for a particular project or subset of a larger project under supervision of more experienced personnel. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for a Position of Public Trust. Must be a US Citizen or 3-year permanent resident. Reporting Facility Location: Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, 6500 S. MacArthur Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK. Full time schedule requiring onsite reporting. Position Requirements Understanding of IP networking concepts Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model T1s, Ethernet, Cisco routers and switches Wireless/Long Term Evolution (LTE) experience and/or experience with FAA radars and radios, or testing of those systems Time-division Multiplexing (TDM) technologies preferred Ability to work off-shift hours Occasional travel may be required Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Education Bachelor's degree in a technical field Salary Range Position System Test Engineer Division JVN Communications Number of Openings 1 Open Date 1/10/2025 About the Organization ECS and JVN are dedicated to providing innovative technology solutions in the field of Air Traffic Control Systems.
