About the Job

Hours:
Hourly; no more than 14 hours per week; if more than 14/week, appointment length not greater than 67 business days.

Overview:
Provides research support in a laboratory setting under the direction of Professor Arnold.

Job Duties:

90% Research
* Conduct research related to specific externally funded projects, including setting up experiments, collecting and analyzing data, troubleshooting challenges, and assisting graduate and undergraduate students on the project, as needed.
* Supports daily laboratory functioning and equipment maintenance.
* May be asked to contribute to papers or presentations related to research.

10% Lab Citizen
* Attend lab meetings with the entire research group and one-on-one meetings, as needed.
* Attend relevant lectures and training sessions.
* Maintain the highest safety standards that adhere to University policy.
* Assist other lab/community members, as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
* Working towards a high school diploma

Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Patience, dedication, flexibility, and enthusiasm.

Pay and Benefits

Fixed Pay Rate: $15.25/hour
