LOCATION This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with minimal onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday assigned to Parnall located in Jackson, MI. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance from this location or willing to relocate (relocation package available to those who qualify). GENERAL SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES A Senior Electrical Engineer in HVD New Business and Capacity Planning is responsible for providing support to many other areas of the company including HVD Engineering, Project Management, System Protection, LVD Substation Planning, Economic Development, Rates and the Energy Solutions Group. The Senior Electrical Engineer also provides solutions to meet our HVD customer's needs and resolves complex technical issues on the HVD system, including new interconnections with generators and with our Transmission provider. The Senior Electrical Engineer is expected to work with minimal supervision, help train and support other members of the group, and represent the company and HVD Planning well in all interactions with customers and other areas of the company. The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for engineering and design to support the sustainable operation of our distribution, generation, and storage system. The incumbent works with teams across the organization and external stakeholders, and leads complex technical projects and may manage the work of lower level engineers and technicians as required.
