Job Summary:
The Wisconsin Reading Center is a core imaging laboratory which works with sponsors (pharmaceutical, camera, and research) on Ophthalmology eye imaging. The incumbent will work directly with investigators, sponsors, Clinical research organizations (CRO), and research teams, to prepare and negotiate budgets and contracts. This incumbent will help with business development for the Wisconsin Reading Center. The role will work with sponsors on non-disclosure agreements, create complex bids for potential studies, and develop fee-for-service agreements to submit in legal review. The position will review all billing both internal and external before processing with finance. Candidates must feel comfortable in a timeline-driven role, be self-motivated, and be highly detailed-oriented with excellent organizational skills. This position interacts with many different teams and customers and assists in identifying and implementing quality process improvements to ensure that processes are efficient and timely. Responsibilities: Researches, creates, and solicits bids and proposals from third party suppliers for critical, complex, and/or unique institution level procurements to provide cost-effective materials and services within an assigned commodity area or business unit. Negotiates procurement contract terms and signs resulting in enterprise or statewide contracts. Develops and recommends sourcing strategies and strategic plans for high demand, high risk, or frequently recurring enterprise-wide purchases of goods and services. Provides peer guidance and proposes procurement strategies to senior leadership to support operational excellence of procurement functions.
