St. Paul Academy and Summit School seeks candidates for the position of Girls' Lacrosse Assistant Coach.

St. Paul Academy and Summit School (SPA) is a coeducational, non-sectarian, college preparatory day school serving more than 920 students in kindergarten through grade 12. Our two campuses are located approximately a mile apart in St. Paul, Minnesota, serving Grades K-5 on our Goodrich Campus and Grades 6-12 on our Randolph Campus. The school draws students from St. Paul, Minneapolis, and throughout the eastern and western suburbs.

Status: Part-Time, Seasonal

Salary Range: $3,400 - $3,650

Description:

This coach will work closely with the head of the Girls Lacrosse program. Season begins 3/31/25 and continues through 6/14/25, or whenever the season comes to an end for the team.

Candidates will be required to demonstrate strong organizational skills, and effective communication skills with students, other coaches, and parents, teach and develop essential basketball skills, display positive game conduct, and be able to develop individual players' abilities in addition to encouraging dedication to teamwork. Candidates should support the mission of SPA and be able to contribute to the life of the School outside of the classroom.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:



  • Creating a positive environment that promotes good sportsmanship towards players, officials, spectators, and teammates
  • Assist with instruction of players in rules, regulations, and techniques of basketball
  • Organize and directs individual and small group practice activities
  • Assess players' skills, monitor players during competition and practice
  • Assist with determining game strategy
  • Individual player development
  • Assist with supervising transportation
  • Tracking statistics
  • Creation of scouting reports
  • Follows established protocol in the event of an injury
  • Participates in special activities to include parent's night, banquets, and award ceremonies
