Apply School of Cinematic Arts Los Angeles, California USC School of Cinematic Arts, Office of Facilities Management and Operations, is currently in search of a Facilities Technician to join our team. Our cutting-edge facilities encompass classrooms, computer labs, theatres, stages, administrative offices, exhibition halls, and a cafe. The Facilities Technician will provide general maintenance and repairs for facilities and equipment which require basic knowledge in electrical, carpentry, painting, and locksmith services. Essential qualifications include effective communication skills, be organized, and have attention to detail. Moreover, the candidate should have prior experience in working with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Demonstrating the ability to make sound decisions, exercising good judgment, exhibiting self-drive, resourcefulness, and creativity in problem-solving are also key attributes we seek. Preferred Qualifications:
The hourly rate range for this position is $28.72-$29.20. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations. Minimum Education: High school or equivalent, Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 1 year Minimum Field of Expertise: Experience in general maintenance and repair for carpentry, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, painting, mechanics and engineering (e.g., air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration systems) trades.
