Responsibilities

Peraton requires Systems Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3. Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.

The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract(SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs),and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.

We are seeking an experienced SCCM Administrator to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the implementation, and maintenance of our System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) infrastructure. This includes managing the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Windows operating systems, applications, and software updates across the organization. The SCCM Administrator will work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and support of our IT infrastructure.

Systems Administrators perform tier one and two network support in accordance with the SIE OPORD. Position requirements may vary depending on location, system complexity, the types of operation and additional network systems, and the size of the supported organization. Experience with specific types of hardware and software systems used by the Government is required. Systems Administrators monitor and control one or more mid-range application servers. This position studies program operating instructions to ensure proper configuration and effective operations. Systems Administrators continuously observe the operation of assigned applications and storage devices to prevent hardware or software failure. This position manipulates systems in accordance with standard procedures to ensure operations when individual parts of a system malfunction. Systems Administrators confer with senior administrators, systems and applications engineers, and storage personnel to correct errors requiring a change of instructions or sequences of operations. Systems Administrators maintains operating records such as machine performance and production reports.

Systems Administrators provide various project management, technical, and administrative support for assets employed at approved global locations and support the development of policies and procedures. They must possess strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills, in addition to in-depth technical knowledge of the Government's systems' hardware and software.

Duties include but are not limited to:

    Manage the deployment and configuration of Windows operating systems, applications, and software updates to client devices.
  • Troubleshoot client-related issues and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Deploy applications using SCCM.
  • Manage application dependencies and conflicts.
  • Manage the deployment of software updates, including Windows updates, third-party updates, and security patches.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SCCM-related issues, including client device problems and application deployment issues.
  • Provide technical support to other IT teams and end-users.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of SCCM infrastructure, including configuration settings and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with other IT teams and stakeholders.


Qualifications

Required qualifications:

  • 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA, 7 years AS/AA or 9 years with no degree
  • A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.
  • DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II AND
  • MCSA relevant to the candidate's work area ORVMware Certified Associate (VCA) OR VMware Certified Technical Associate (VCTA) OR Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified Associate relevant to work area OR MCSA Server 2012/2016 OR Microsoft 365 Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate OR MCSE relevant to the candidates work area OR AWS Sys Ops Administrator Associate OR Nutanix Certified Professional OR MCTS: SCCM

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SCCM administration, and maintenance of SCCM infrastructure.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems, application deployment, and software updates.

Technical Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of SCCM, including architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with other IT teams.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Desired:

  • Experience with other Microsoft products: **
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Azure Active Directory, or other Microsoft cloud services.

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
