Credit Analyst

Location: Addison, IL

Job type: Full time

Schedule: Standard Daytime hours, Monday-Friday

Salary: $24.90/hr - $33.21/hr

*Compensation for this position includes annual salary, $1000 short-term incentive bonus, and full benefits package offerings. The exact amount of base salary may vary based on experience and skills brought to the role as well as the geographic location of the role.

What You'll Do

We are seeking a dedicated Credit Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to professionally and efficiently handle day-to-day activity in the Credit Department by completing assigned duties and maintaining DSO and past-due accounts receivable at the levels set in objectives.

You will...



  • Effectively respond to inquiries from customers, Viking Electric associates and outside organizations.
  • Resolve problems, authorize new orders, maintain billing information, release of confidential credit information to appropriate people and maintain good will.
  • Utilize technology and personal visits when appropriate to handle all credit department collection activity for assigned accounts.
  • Manage sales tax collection and documentation for accounts. Being knowledgeable in sales tax requirements and documentation in state for which assigned accounts.
  • Meet with assigned managers and complete the Joint Account Review Process each month. Advise and train salespeople in collection approach and collection options
  • Interact with Cash Application Team to ensure that customer payments are applied timely and correctly.
  • Monitor Credit limits for assigned accounts. Changing credit limits where appropriate and authorizing shipments as needed


What You Bring

Requirements:



  • Minimum 2 to 3 years in commercial credit or accounts receivable collections, preferably in a construction-related field.
  • A four-year degree in a business-related field (e.g. accounting, finance) or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic accounting skills and some leadership abilities
  • PC skills.
  • Valid drivers license. Limited travel.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future.
