Skilled Trades Technician - Heavy Civil Construction

McMillen, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Skilled Trades Technician to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in rigging, electrical motor installation, millwright work, boiler making with welding, and pipefitting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and enjoys solving complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
* Perform rigging duties to safely move and set heavy machinery, equipment, and components.
* Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical motors and mechanical systems.
* Execute millwright tasks, including precision alignment, assembly, and repair of industrial equipment.
* Assemble, install, and repair piping systems for industrial and mechanical applications.
* Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and maintenance of systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
* Collaborate with team members to develop solutions to unique and complex technical challenges.
* Adapt to varied tasks and environments, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive attitude.

Qualifications:
* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
* Experience with various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, stick) would be a plus
* Familiarity with industry-standard safety procedures and best practices.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work in physically demanding environments and adapt to changing priorities.
