SALARY RANGE: $222,477 - $267,008 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)

Nokia of America Corporation, Cloud Native Architect (Multiple Positions), Sunnyvale, CA. Support solution definition and deployment architecture for Nokia's cloud infrastructure and telecommunication network functions. Perform cloud architecture for Nokia's Cloud and Network Services (CNS) to define E2E blueprints, guidelines, technology selections pertaining to multi-cloud and hyper-scaler sub-domain. Participate in industry-wide technology forums and customer business engagements. Provide support for Nokia's CNS Portfolio Design and Architecture in customer pre-sales and industry alliance discussions involving public or private cloud native deployments. Assist with the creation of Nokia's Azure, VMware hyperscaler deployment blueprint, and other Hyperscaler solutions. Define Nokia Core Networks, K8s infrastructure and Common Software Foundation features for product roadmap. Conduct research and development activities to improve various characteristics of 5G cloud-native telecommunication deployments. #LI-DNI

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and 8 years of related work experience, of which 5 years are post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience. Employer will accept an additional 2 years of related work experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Of the required experience, must have 8 years of experience in the following: 4G/5G telecommunication network architecture.

Of the required experience, must have 5 years of experience in the following: Data Plane Development Kit (DPDK) user plane containerized network functions; Planning the deployment and dimensioning of large-scale Kubernetes-based Telco clouds; Developing Kubernetes Operators to automate recurring life-cycle management actions via a declarative API; and Hyperscaler (AWS, GCP, and Azure) provided CaaS and PaaS services including telemetry, IAM, DNS, storage, networking, edge deployment, load-balancing, service meshes, certificate management, and life-cycle management.

Domestic travel may be required up to 10%.

International travel may be required up to 10%.

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Sunnyvale, CA may be permitted up to 20%.
