You will be part of our Tech organization's Patent Portfolio Transactions team

Our team will mostly focus and work collaboratively on patent acquisition and related opportunities. A smaller portion of time will be spent on patent divestments. You will be exposed to a broad range of technologies, including relating to software and hardware. You will interface with among others, Tech Patent Portfolio personnel, licensing, outside technical consultants, and other companies.

What you will learn and contribute to

We are looking for someone who can immediately start contributing significantly to the following:



  • Supporting team efforts in securing in a timely manner the best possible patent acquisition and related opportunities that are consistent with Tech's priorities.
  • Working with relevant others as needed, efficiently performing detailed analysis of various top potential candidate patents and related documents to determine value.
  • Managing outside technical consultants to achieve top quality and top efficiency in patent analysis-related efforts.
  • Consistently finding and helping implement new and better ways to meet team objectives.


Your skills and experience

You have:



  • Relating to software and/or hardware and/or wireless communications, at least 7 years of patent experience including significant claim charting experience, significant infringement analysis-related experience, and significant invalidity analysis-related experience and a proven record of success in all the foregoing.
  • Relating to software and/or hardware and/or wireless communications, have significant patent litigation-related experience and significant patent licensing-related experience
  • Significant patent acquisition-related and/or patent sales-related experience


It would be nice if you also had:



  • A formal qualification of European Patent Attorney or similar
  • Experience and education as an electrical engineer
