About the Unit The Helen DeVos MRI team is made up of 14 technologists, supporting Outpatient, Inpatient and ER needs. This team provides expertise to West Michigan's pediatric patients performing numerous exams not offered throughout the rest of the system. This team provides coverage 24/7/365 as a level 1 pediatric trauma. We work closely with pediatric sedation offering various levels of sedated exams for our patients, as well as additional tools like Video Goggles, patient chosen room lighting, and a facility dog able to accompany patients into the MR suite. Helen DeVos Children's Hospital Opening in downtown Grand Rapids in January 2011, Helen DeVos is a 14-floor building dedicated pediatric facility. Scope of Work Provides health care services, applying pulsed radio-frequency waves and magnetic energy to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
