This position will report to the Senior Electrical Project Manager and will work part time during the school year and transition to full time during the summer.

JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a motivated and talented Robotics and Automation Intern to join our dynamic engineering team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge robotics projects and gain hands-on experience in the field. You will collaborate with experienced engineers and contribute to the development, testing, and implementation of new systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Identify manual operations as candidates for automation.
  • Evaluate robotic equipment capabilities and vendor.
  • Participate in the integration of hardware and software for robotic applications.
  • Conduct experiments and analyze data to improve robotic performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve technical challenges.
  • Document project progress and present findings to the team.
  • Travel to various WI sites will be required.
  • Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor, while following all company, safety, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular attendance at work.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of robotics principles and technologies.
  • Experience with various programming languages
  • Experience with CAD software and hardware prototyping is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must have a driver's license and good driving record

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Work near allergens, such as peanut, tree nuts, dairy, and soy.
  • Good oral and written communication skills are required
  • Adaptability and flexibility are essential
  • Customer focused
  • Able to work on a team
  • Good decision-making ability
  • Project management skills
