Responsibilities

Job Description:

The Data Technical Support (DTS) Team will be based on a hub and spoke concept of operations with analysts permanently positioned or on Temporary Duty (TDY) status at the USSOCOM HQ, TSOC, Component Commands, Special Operations Joint Task Forces (SOJTF), Combined Joint Special Operations Task Forces (CJSOTF), Special Operations Task Forces (SOTF), and Special Operations Command Forward Elements (SOCFWD).

The team will be comprised of Data Integrators, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, System Architects, and Front-End Developers.

DevSecOps Engineer: Works as part of a team developing new and integrating existing technologies in support of IDST efforts. Under the direction of the government, deploy and maintain infrastructure needed for development, testing and deployment of IDST capabilities, to include but not limited to, virtual machines, database servers, application programming interfaces/services, and containerized applications in cloud and on-prem based architectures. This position is designed for individuals who have multiple years of DevOps experience and a strong background in automated deployments, containerization, and monitoring. This position is located at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL.

Job Duties Include (but not limited to):

    Design infrastructure that is secure, scalable, and resilient
  • Work with software engineers to define requirements and infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with configuration management tools
  • Troubleshoot issues across various cloud and on-premises environments
  • Implement and refine monitoring solutions to meet SLAs


Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Required experience with Python, Terraform, Containers (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)
  • Preferred experience with Apache, Docker, Postgres, GeoServer, Ubuntu
  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science/Engineering, or related field

Security Clearance:

  • Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a SCI is required
