Practice Overview Patients in this office are individuals who have a new concerning symptom of a heart issue or are born with a congenital heart defect needing life long care. Because we are a cardiology clinic, we perform EKGs on all patients. Our MAs are also trained to place cardiac monitors. We service all of West Michigan, including the UP. Our providers are busy with many other roles when not in the clinic. A typical clinic day will have 50 to 60 patients with 5 to 6 doctors in clinic. The Congenital Heart Center also serves adults with congenital heart disease. Office Culture This role is mostly clinical. Our MAs do in room check out and schedule appointments. Tasks will include EKGs, pulse ox, vitals (including four limb blood pressures), and completing initial intake for patients. Critical thinking is important in recognizing a patient that may be in distress. Essential Functions
