Job Description
Senior Financial Analyst Normally Reports to: Senior Director, FP & A Position Location: Onsite / Houston, TX Job Objective: The Senior Financial Analyst is a key member of the finance team, responsible for a variety of financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, building financial models, assisting with financial planning, performing research and analysis, preparing reports, and assisting with close processes. The Senior Financial Analyst will also be responsible for providing project teams with financial guidance and assisting with monthly close processes. This position works closely and collaborating with executive leadership and Corporate Accounting. This role does not have any direct reports. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support Senior Director of FP&A and Corporate FP&A department with financial analysis and projects, as directed, which includes creating, developing, managing, and improving operational performance
- Assist in creation of management meeting decks for board of directors and external lender reviews
- Craft annual budget for various departments and steward monthly financial results
- Coordinate bi-monthly EBITDA forecast and distribute results
- Track large national customer account performance
- Perform monthly financial reporting
- Train colleagues on OneStream
- Assist with data collection, manipulation, and validation of various reports
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance of financial and business models
- Provide information to management by assembling and analyzing financial information; preparing reports on findings and trends; researching variances and issues; and making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations
- Conduct financial analysis by comparing and analyzing plans and forecasts versus actual results
- Increase productivity by developing standardized, automated tools that enhance analytical insights
- Participate in various job duties/responsibilities and special projects as directed
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree
- Financial, Business or Data Analysis: Minimum 3 years of experience
- OneStream Experience
- MS Excel Intermediate Level - lookups and pivot tables
- MS PowerPoint Intermediate Level
- Understanding of the 3 main financial statements with very strong understanding of the P&L
- Some Travel Required (All Domestic US, only as needed)
- Highly motivated self-starter with excellent problem-solving abilities
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify and challenge assumptions
- Ability to coordinate and gather relevant information for effective analysis and presentation
- Strong communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Professional presence
- Effective team player able to interact at various levels within the organization
Preferred:
- CFA and/or MBA
- Background in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or Computer Science
- SAP Experience
- Power Query and PowerPivot Experience
