We are currently looking for a full-time Supplier Quality Engineer. In this role you will be responsible for providing technical support between the supply chain and manufacturing by defining the supplier quality requirements and assessing quality performance. This is a challenging role working with commercial, supply chain, and development functions to define supplier product, testing and data requirements. You will be required to work closely with internal customers and external suppliers to reach agreement on specifications and investigate quality issues. You will also take the lead in coordinating the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.

When your actions lead to success.
  • Review and assess supplier manufacturing processes. This will include supplier visits and audits.
  • Support the negotiation of supplier specifications, communicating specifications and changes internally.
  • Act as primary interface in the investigation and resolution of supplier quality issues.
  • Monitor raw material to ensure conformance to requirements. Involved in the disposition of Non-Conforming Inventory (NCI) where appropriate.
  • Perform statistical analysis to verify test methods, quality plans and process capability. Act as a resource for variation reduction.
  • Provide leadership in the training and use of statistical tools with the supply chain.
  • Assure that systems and procedures used are documented, implemented, and effectively used and are consistent with the policies contained in the quality systems manual and its supporting documentation.
  • Participate with Business Teams in troubleshooting and developing solutions to long term recurrent problems.
  • Coordination of current ISO-9001 Quality System including, Raw Material Specification updates, Internal Audits, Quality System changes, and Quality System training.
When your expertise drives us.
  • Good computer skills including Word, Excel and databases.
  • Good knowledge of statistics and Minitab.
  • Good understanding of Quality system including ISO 9001:2000.
  • Proficiency with quality management tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis).
  • Strong Process based manufacturing and engineering skills.
  • Able to provide leadership in the advancement of quality of products as well as overcoming barriers to quality improvement.
  • Communicates effectively with other departments, suppliers and customers.
Experience

2 - 5 years quality engineering / supply chain quality experience. Coating/converting industry experience is a plus.

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, Chemistry or other technical discipline or equivalent experience.

Travel

4-5 times a year travel may be required to visit/audit the supply chain.

Compensation:

The compensation and reference to benefits for this role is listed on this posting in compliance with applicable law. The selected candidate's compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications. Please note that the compensation and benefits listed below are only applicable to successful candidates who are hired onto local United States payroll.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $73,000 - $95,000
