Overview
Aviation Survey Project Manager USA Job Summary This position is responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting for surveying services in support of internal aviation engineering projects as well as external aviation client engineering and surveying-specific projects. This position is key to establishing and improving client relationships, internal and external, and growth within an aviation-specific client base as well as securing repeat opportunities with existing Woolpert's existing aviation client base.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions: Project Management:
Responsible for and manages project profit/loss. Identify, address, and resolve project issues.
- Analyze project resource needs and work partners to determine budget and resource allocation. Develop detailed
- project scope, schedules, and plans. Communication client needs and expectations. Negotiate project schedule, fee, and
- scope. Conduct project kick-off meetings and set up project data within internals systems. Conduct project status update
- meetings to communicate, address, resolve, and anticipate project issues. Ensure client collections are performed in a
- timely manner. Manage project documentation and filing system. Ensure project QA/QC is performed. Coordinate with Woolpert's Survey Discipline for staffing and project expertise.
Business Development:
- Secure new business opportunities and generate new leads within the aviation engineering and architectural industry. These types of services include, but are not limited to:
- Engineering survey support (topographic surveys) utilizing mobile mapping, UAS and traditional surveying methods.
- Construction survey support including control establishment, layout and as-built surveys.
- Ground based scanning services to support BIM modeling and feature extraction utilizing a variety of different tools like wearable, mobile and terrestrial scan systems.
- Develop written proposals leads efforts related to project proposals. Create and maintain professional client relationships.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in related field and a minimum of four (4) years of related Project Management experience or eight (8) years of related experience.
- Typically manage a Net Revenue of $250k to $2m+. Net Revenue goals vary based on project timelines, services, and deliverables.
- Must be able to travel to meet the needs and demands of the project.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to develop and manage cross-functional relationships.
Travel:
- Minimum travel expectation of 10%. Amount of travel will vary depending on market.
- Resulting Physical Qualifications:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to operate and manipulate standard office equipment.
- Must be able to occasionally reach, bend, climb and/or balance.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
- Must be able to travel as required
