Under general direction of the Financial and Administrative Officer and the general supervision of the Department Chair, the incumbent will provide administrative support in areas of academic personnel and general office operations. Major functional areas of responsibility include: 1) assist College Academic Personnel Services Unit in merit, promotion, reappointment and recruitment files of all academic and non-academic appointments; 2) independently responsible to support Faculty in submitting sabbatical requests, special leaves and separation, and compiling accomplishments for data entry into eFile; 3) provide administrative support to Department Chair, Vice-Chair, and Department Committees, including scheduling and coordinating meetings, attend meetings, and liaise with other department staff to accomplish the goals and mission of the department; 4). provide support for general department operations, which may include front-office support, working with the Contracts & Grants Unit, and Student Affairs. The incumbent must be able to maintain confidentiality and have exceptional interpersonal skills as well as have demonstrated experience in working well with diversified staff, faculty and students.
The full salary range for the Administrative Coordinator is $28.44 - $40.76 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $28.44 - $29.78 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. |
