Provides professional and high level financial / budget analysis, fiscal management, and administrative and technical support for extramural funds and various other funding sources for constituents within the Department of Statistics. Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced research administrator to independently develop and / or oversee research proposals, awards and / or transactions related to contract and grant management and maintains contract and grant records in compliance with institutional research sponsor policies. Independently works on proposals and awards of diverse scope where analysis of data requires thorough understanding of complex regulations. Independently works on complex agency-specific proposals and awards that may involve multi-year budgets, multiple investigators, and / or multiple sub-awards and establishes and enforces schedules for proposal preparation. Proactively communicates with all internal and external collaborators in a timely and professional manner. Takes initiative to perform complex budget / resource analysis including forecasting, retrieving data from campus financial systems, organizing and validating data, and the preparation of comprehensive reports to assist faculty in planning for the effective and appropriate use of all their funds. Reviews and reconciles monthly general ledgers and payroll expenditure reports. Fully analyzes transactional problems, gathers data and information, and recommends solutions and / or promptly processes corrections through campus financial systems with proper approvals. Provides ad hoc financial reports and analyses to Principal Investigators (PIs), Financial Services Supervisor, Financial Operations Manager (FOM), Financial & Administrative Officer (FAO), and Department Chair as needed. Serves as a back-up procurement cardholder and transactor. Assists with the fiscal duties related to Sales & Service funds received through the Statistical Consulting Collaboratory and other revenue-generating fund sources. Ensures compliance with agency-specific terms and conditions, federal OMB circulars, internal audit requirements, and University policies for all financial activities.

The full salary range for the Contract & Grant Analyst 2 is $33.11- $48.39 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is $33.11 - $35.16 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
