The Belonging and Strategic Alignment Manager will be responsible for management and oversight of RTI's Belonging program to assess, design, deliver and measure programming and systemic change to advance Belonging at RTI, and a key leader of RTI's Bridging & Belonging efforts. Responsible for creating cross-functional collaborations across the institute to advance the belonging strategy, obtain strategic alignment for goals and progress to solve for breaking and othering, and advance the guiding principles of the belonging strategy in alignment with RTI's People Strategy, Values, and North Star. Responsibilities * Under the guidance of the Senior Director of Bridging & Belonging, development and implementation of cross-institute belonging programming, and evaluation of global policies and practices, including identification of systemic issues and barriers to belonging, creation and oversight of action plans and programming. * Management and oversight of the Belonging Program including assessments, design, delivery, and measure of programmatic and systemic change. * Supervision and management of the Bridging and Belonging Project Assistant. * Drive organizational awareness, commitment, and accountability for belonging across the Institute, through strategic partnerships with RTI business units, the Executive Leadership Team, senior leadership, and functional partners. * Provide guidance, coaching and technical assistance to business leaders and teams necessary for the identification and implementation of belonging behaviors, as well as effective project management which helps managers design and implement belonging efforts in areas such as effective group structures and meeting facilitation. * Partner with the Office of Corporate Communications for internal updates, marketing, and increased awareness and understanding of the value of belonging at RTI. * Serve as a subject matter expert and consultant in the domain of belonging. * Development, delivery and management of long bridge building activities across polarities of difference. * Lead implementation of change management strategy and overall strategic plan for the Belonging Program. * Implementation, and management of the Bridging & Belonging Leadership Council. * Partner with Develop & Grow team to develop and deliver belonging learning and development opportunities to RTI. * Development and cultivation of trusted partnerships with senior leaders and key collaborators. * Regular updates to senior and executive leadership team on the impacts and outcomes of the Belonging Program. * Identify, develop, and foster relationships with external networks and partnerships and key local, state, and international organizations on behalf of RTI's Belonging Program. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience, Master's degree and 6 years of experience, PhD and 1 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. * 3 years of direct experience in leading assessments, design and delivery of action planning including success measures, facilitating crucial conversations and belonging training. * Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of strategic approaches and tools stemming from belonging design theory, to solve for the impacts of othering and breaking. * Demonstrated success and expertise in in the assess/design/deliver/measure framework for development and delivery of belonging strategies in the workplace. * Extensive knowledge of the methods, techniques, strategies, programs, research, and promising practices related to othering, breaking, bridging and belonging, as well as applicable legal and policy frameworks. * Ability to effectively partner with and influence senior and executive leadership. * Deep understanding of complex and subtle belonging issues and impacts among various communities of identity dimensions. * Ability to identify and articulate in real-time the role of othering and breaking in unique situations of personal, interpersonal, and organizational relationships and structures. * Act and think strategically, monitoring the external market for emerging trends and belonging best practices. * Ability to stay empathetic, compassionate, and solution-focused in high-stress and high-conflict situations and build short bridges to human understand and connection. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong presentation abilities. * Proven ability to work well with others and build successful and effective relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization; ability to promote ideas persuasively, shape opinion and win buy-in for initiatives plus work through conflicts in order to ensure operational alignment and high-impact execution. * Sound judgment, high integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality. * Excellent knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
