Welder

EPI Power is hiring an experienced Welder join our recently opened state-of-the-art pre-fabrication shop. This role will be an essential part of the team responsible for building electrical components to be used on commercial construction job sites.

What You'll Do:

• Perform MIG welding on various metal components according to project specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols
• Operate welding equipment/tools safely and efficiently
• Assist with the assembly of welded parts and components
• Occasionally operate a forklift to move materials around the shop
• Ensure that all welded products meet quality standards and specifications
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with other duties within the fabrication shop as required

What We're Looking For:

• Experience:
  
  
  
  • 1-2 years of experience in MIG welding required, TIG welding experience is a plus
  • American Welding Society (AWS) certification required
  
  
  
  
• Skills:

• 
  
  
  
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols
  • Familiarity with various welding tools and equipment
  • Basic understanding of shop safety procedures and standards
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Willingness to assist in with additional tasks as needed including assembly, forklift operation, etc.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand for extended period of time and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity
