Job Objective:
The Senior Systems Administrator at Harvest Midstream Company is a multifaceted role that encompasses the administration, support, and management of Microsoft Office 365 services, Azure environments, and cloud base Entra and server infrastructure. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of cloud and on-premise systems, focusing on ensuring high availability, security, and efficiency of these services. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our company's IT infrastructure, enhancing communication, collaboration, and overall IT operations.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Office 365 Management and Configuration:

  • Administer and support the Office 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
  • Manage user licenses and subscriptions, and oversee the deployment of Office 365 updates and patches.

Security and Compliance:

  • Implement and monitor security measures for the protection of Office 365 services, including MFA and related security implementations.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and retention policies.

Active Directory and Server Management:

  • Oversee on-premise Active Directory, ensuring proper configuration, security, and synchronization with Azure AD.
  • Manage and maintain on-premise servers, including file, print, and application servers, ensuring their reliability and performance.

Collaboration and Communication Tools Optimization:

  • Enhance and streamline collaboration tools to improve company-wide communication and productivity.
  • Provide solutions for integration with other enterprise tools and services.

User Support and Training:

  • Offer detailed-level technical support for Office 365 issues and queries across multiple domains and tenants.
  • Develop and provide training materials and user guides for end-users.
  • Support VIP users with O365 related issues.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Regularly monitor and analyze Office 365 service performances.
  • Generate reports on usage and provide insights for improvements and cost reductions.

Project Management and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with other functional IT teams for cross-functional projects and initiatives.
  • Manage Office 365-related projects, from inception to completion.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Assists the IT Systems Administration Manager in development of standard operating procedures.
  • Travel: Requires travel to Harvest field and office locations approximately 25% of the time.
  • Analyzes Helpdesk statistics to recommend long-term actions to decrease incidents or reduce resolution time (i.e. recommending training, changing manufacturers to increase meantime between failures, etc.)
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional associations.
  • Communicates effectively (written/verbal) with technical and non-technical audiences, possesses strong interpersonal skills, is self-motivated, and is innovative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adheres to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
  • Supports company vision and mission.
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of Office 365 applications, including advanced features and capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of Office 365 security and compliance capabilities.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for Office 365 automation.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex Office 365 issues.
  • Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills required.
  • Experience running and maintaining a 24x7 production environment.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in administering Office 365, Azure, and Active Directory and servers.
