Job Objective:
To provide Project Scope, Resource Planning and Scheduling, Financial Management, Project Controls/Reporting, Risk Management and Mitigation, Estimating, Contracting and Procurement, Change Management, Commissioning, and Close out activities pertaining to projects throughout all the Harvest Midstream Assets.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate efforts with Operations, Engineering, Integrity, Land, Environmental and Commercial teams to define, develop, and prepare project scope and schedule, prepare estimates, and bid packages, perform bid walks, and evaluate bids with project teams.
  • Create and direct the controls for assigned projects.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations that communicate project proposals, descriptions and status to upper management, governmental agencies and/or the public.
  • Manage projects in a manner that assures safety, reliability, environmental and human impacts are mitigated while meeting the project goals (including but not limited to budget, schedule, safety, site compliance, and overall quality).
  • Communicate with Management on goals and objectives.
  • Ensure ongoing improvement through evaluation of current processes.
  • Maintain a regular, dependable attendance and high level of performance.
  • Maintain a high regard for person safety, for the safety of the company assets and employees as well as the public.
  • Procure materials for projects managed and consider opportunities for cost savings across all ongoing and future projects within the team.
  • Responsible for coordination with contractors, utilities, regulators, inspections, interfacing property owners, to complete the project.
  • Meet with various local, state, and federal agencies regarding assigned projects as needed.
  • Manage all daily construction activities and site safety and integrity by utilizing Operations personnel and third-party Construction Inspectors and conduct regular site visits.
  • Manage, forecast, and review all AFE costs to maintain budgets and achieve expected project economics.
  • Maintain a current Vendor and Contractor network, evaluate qualifications, and monitor compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to plan and execute projects to reduce costs and improve quality and safety.
  • Manage the project status tracking system for all growth capital projects for the team and ensure timely, weekly reporting on project progress and performance.
  • Maintain a forward look on upcoming projects to forecast procurement and contracting needs.
  • Must be a problem solver, capable of resolving various issues that will arise during the execution of a project.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently. Effectively prioritize workload between several projects including the ability to take on new projects and shift priorities on short notice.

Qualifications:

  • Fifteen (15) years minimum oil and gas project management, engineering, and operations experience.
  • Broad based engineering and construction knowledge and proven success in project engineering.
  • Knowledge of gas operations in both a field and plant environment.
  • Ability to make and implement sound decisions when faced with multi-faceted problems.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong, dynamic team leadership skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, contractors, officials, and the public.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex information into an organized and presentable manner.
  • Ability to generate conceptual and detailed cost estimates for projects.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, professional and solutions-oriented approach with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and share ideas.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours as needed.
  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook); preferred proficiency in MS Project or similar project management tools.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
