Welder I

Main Responsibilities

* TIG welding during the manufacturing of Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) Ion Pumps

* Follow manufacturing travelers and blueprints to meet product specifications

* Calculate material measurements to verify specifications

* Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance

* Follow quality procedures and document as necessary

* Recommend manufacturability improvements to Engineering

* Maintain commitment to safety, ethics, professionalism, and teamwork.

Skills / Knowledge / Experience

* We are seeking a candidate with at least 0-2 years of TIG welding experience.

* Certification is not required but is preferred.

* Previous experience in welding, manufacturing, or other related fields

* Prefer at least two years of TIG welding experience.

* TIG welding experience on Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) products a strong plus

* Familiarity with all forms of welding materials/metals

* Familiarity with welding tools and procedures

* Familiarity with engineering blueprints, schematics, and weld symbols

* Ability to handle physical workload

* Willing to learn and be mentored

* Self-starter capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision
