Position Purpose: Ensure detail-oriented and safety-focused handling of raw materials and bulk products throughout the production process and distribution center processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in material handling, knowledge of warehouse operations, and a strong commitment to maintaining quality and safety standards.
Duties, Tasks, and Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, and transport bulk raw materials and finished products.
- Safely handle and store chemicals and materials in compliance with company procedures and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory of bulk materials, including accurate labeling and tracking.
- Monitor and maintain bulk storage tanks, valves, and pumps to ensure proper operation.
- Perform quality checks on incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products.
- Prepare bulk materials for shipment, including labeling, sealing, and securing loads for transport.
- Verify incoming shipments of raw materials against purchase orders for accuracy.
- Inspect and perform basic maintenance on handling equipment such as forklifts and bulk transfer systems.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including the proper use of PPE and handling of hazardous materials.
- Maintain accurate records of material transfers, inventory levels, and production data.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory and materials.
- Assist with distribution center needs, projects, and processes as needed.
- Provide support to the other distribution and manufacturing locations as needed.
- Partner with the Bolingbrook distribution team as needed.
- Back up for additional shifts and assistance for additional shifts as scheduled
Experience:
- A minimum of five years in account management, customer service or transportation experience focusing on customer needs.
- Industry experience preferred: Automotive, Retail, Carrier, or 3PL.
- Proficient in MS-Office and SAP (or related ERP system)

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to problem solve and identify trends
- High degree of integrity
- Knowledge of transportation, customer service and distribution methods
- Self-motivated. Works well under pressure and a sense of urgency
- Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, or Supply Chain or equivalent qualified experience desired
