DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the overall operations of assigned CIs. You will set priorities, goals, and objectives while effectively communicating expectations to staff. You will assess staffing needs and align them with facility and departmental goals. Additionally, you will manage the annual budget as allocated by the fiscal department. Your duties will include developing, revising, and implementing efficient work processes and procedures. You will also establish, schedule, and lead orientation and on-the-job training programs for both staff and inmate workers. You will create operational plans to ensure the delivery of goods and services in line with forecasted needs and objectives. This includes projecting labor, materials, equipment, and time requirements based on established priorities and schedules. Within the framework of DOC and SCI policies, you will have the authority to make decisions that impact the overall operations of your assigned industry. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- The worksite location will be determined.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience as a Correctional Industries Manager 1; or
- Seven years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing or a service oriented production operation, including three years of supervisory experience; or
- A Master's Degree with major course work in industrial engineering, business administration, public administration, vocational education, industrial education, or related area and two years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or a service oriented production operation; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training, including three years supervisory experience in a manufacturing or a service oriented production operation. Formal study at a college or university with major course work in industrial engineering, business administration, public administration, vocational education, industrial education, or related training may be substituted for non-supervisory experience on a year-for- year basis to a maximum of four years.
Other Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
