THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will work closely with agency management to analyze programming, policies, and data, as well as monitor and coordinate county children, youth, and family programs. Responsibilities include assessing and analyzing agency needs, acting as liaison between the agency and providers, and conducting on-site visits with contract providers to provide training and technical assistance. You will also be expected to construct, negotiate, and monitor the purchase of services agreements in addition to assisting with the preparation of the annual plan, budget, studies, and correspondence.

You will have the opportunity to grow with our team as you develop program objectives and establish the agency's staff development programs for specialized areas such as child placement, family reunification, aftercare services, and all related policies and procedures. Work includes establishing and maintaining written criteria for case review, processing and evaluating services provided by the agency to families with children in custody, as well as attend staffing, training, court, and other meetings as required. Our team will also rely on your skills to conduct internal agency audits, interpret agency policies and procedures, and help ensure our team adheres to all federal, state, and county rules and regulations. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • One year of experience as a staff assistant to an administrative officer or as a technician in a staff service of a large organization; and such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
