Marine Electronics Engineer

Solvere Technical Group is seeking a Marine Electronics Engineer with proven experience to design, develop, test, and supervise the implementation of electronic equipment for shipboard use. Conduct analyses on centralized machinery control systems, interior and exterior communications, sensors, alarms, navigation, combat fire control, and other C5ISR related systems. Analyze and mitigate cybersecurity risks for installed systems and networks. Knowledge of remote sensing, sensor processing and information processing for electronics components and systems. Develop system documentation and ship specifications.

Job Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 3 years' documented experience developing and integrating shipboard C5I systems (including Command-and-Control Systems, Navigation Systems, Internal Communications and External Communications Systems, Sensors and Radars, Combat Systems and Intelligence Systems) with emphasis on design and implementation of a balanced affordable and maintainable systems.


Preferred Experience:



  • Experience related to federal ship or boat building acquisition programs preferred.
  • Experience with DoD ACAT I or DHS Level I shipbuilding programs preferred.


Required Education:

BS or MS in Technical, Engineering, or Marine Degree from ABET accredited institution, related to field

of work.

Security Clearance:



  • Must hold a Secret Clearance or higher.
  • Must pass a background check.


Place of Performance:



  • Will work "Onsite" 2-3 days per/week in Washington, DC, and remaining days remotely.
  • Washington, DC: Reliably commute to or planning to relocate before starting work (Required).


Schedule:



  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday ("Onsite" 2-3 days per/week in Washington, DC, and remaining days remotely).
