Description
Chevo is hiring an experienced Federal Project Manager, to join our expanding firm. This opportunity will provide the opportunity for significant client interaction, project management skills, and requires knowledge of Federal program management processes, stakeholder management, portfolio management, and organizational skills. Ideal candidates will take a consultative approach to service delivery, possess critical thinking skills, be self-motivated in the delivery on high-quality work products. This position will be remote, with periodic on-site client engagement, located in New Carrollton MD.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Advise project team members and clients on defining project scope, setting goals and milestones, and developing schedules
  • Manages the development of program documentation for completeness, accuracy, currency and appropriateness for purpose
  • Identifies and mitigates risks
  • Evaluates and defines business processes, designs management reporting systems, and leverages collaborative work environments and tools
  • Develops status reporting, both internally and to the client; creating reports for executive reporting; and providing support for agency, department, and Federal data calls
  • Create and brief project management artifacts to clients
  • Deliver clear and effective communication and perform stakeholder management
  • Support development of high-quality project deliverables with a strong attention to detail
  • Optimize project execution by making recommendations for improvements
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Five (5+) years' total work experience
  • Two (2+) years of federal government experience
  • Ability to pass client clearance requirements
  • Expertise with MS office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • Initiative-taking individual that possesses excellent time management and organizational skills
Desired Qualifications:
  • Hands on experience with federal program management services
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Assertive and inquisitive manner that allows the individual to take even indirectly related and orally communicated information and transform it into actionable information
  • Active IRS minimum background investigation
  • Experience with MS SharePoint and Power Platform tools
Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000
