Job Title: Rehab Therapy Manager

Location: 10700 Charter Drive, Suite 205, Columbia, MD 21044

Position Summary:

The Rehabilitation Therapy Manager plays a pivotal role within the Rehabilitation Therapy Services Department. Reporting directly to the Director of Rehabilitation Therapy Services, this individual will oversee clinical and administrative activities for a subdivision of the department. Responsibilities include developing and implementing new programs, supervising a team of professionals and non-professionals, and providing direct patient care in alignment with PM&R standards. This role also represents the unit/clinic in interactions with other clinical and ancillary departments, working collaboratively to achieve superior patient and team outcomes.

The Rehab Therapy Manager ensures departmental goals align with the hospital's mission, promotes continuous improvement, and may act as the Inpatient Rehabilitation Manager in their absence.

Competencies:

Candidates must demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for interactions with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities are required. Proficiency in data analysis for clinical decision-making, program development, and performance management is essential. Candidates must also be effective in using computer software for data input and analysis and possess the talent to engage employees to achieve their full potential.

Education:

A Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic program is required, with a Master's degree preferred. Candidates must have in-depth knowledge of social, behavioral, biological, and physical sciences.

Knowledge and Skills:

This position requires a deep understanding of rehabilitation therapy foundations, evaluation and treatment techniques, and research application. Awareness of current healthcare environments and operational management is critical. Leadership and management acumen are essential for success in this role.

Licensure and Certification:

Applicants must hold applicable licensure from the State of Maryland in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology.

Work Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed Physical, Occupational, or Speech Therapist is required. Candidates should have demonstrated progression in supervisory and administrative responsibilities.

Salary Range: Minimum 44.31 per hour - Maximum 77.57 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
