Lathrop GPM is seeking an IP Associate with 3 - 7 years of experience to join our
Denver, Dallas, Kansas City, Minneapolis
,
Redwood Shores,
San Jose, or
St. Louis office. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with the versatility and interest to work on both IP (technology licensing and commercial transactions, trade secret, trademark, copyright protection, and marketing and brand management) and privacy compliance (privacy policies, DPAs and advice). Candidates will be exposed to tech-centric general corporate matters (initial formation, general corporate affairs, contract negotiation and M&A). A technical/engineering background and a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/US) or interest in obtaining one is preferred, but not required. Candidates who are proven self-starters as well as possess the ability to work as part of a larger team will thrive in this role.
Requirements
Strong academic credentials, exceptional analytical and writing abilities, and outstanding interpersonal skills are required. Candidates must have an active law license and be in good standing. The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone who is hired into this position is $145,000 - $200,000. Actual initial salary may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location where the position is filled, in all cases consistent with applicable law.
